“Accenture” Data IS On Darkweb , Ransomware Group Threatens To Release It For Public.

IT Software giant “Accenture” has come under ransomware attack by LockBit Ransomware group . On the initial step, Cyberworkx had came to know that the companies data are available for public in the darkweb site and claim was verified by the cybercrime intelligence data company named “Hudson Rock” on its YouTube channel.

At the time of writing this news, the files are not yet enabled in the darkweb site and the company has not released the official statement for public.

The attack, claimed by the LockBit group, if confirmed, would be very serious and could potentially lead to devastating consequences considering the Company’s customer base. Accenture is a huge and very structured reality. Update 1: Accenture has responded on this incident and downplayed the ransomware attack stating “Through our security controls and protocols, we identified irregular activity in one of our environments. We immediately contained the matter and isolated the affected servers. We fully restored our affected systems from back up,” to the third party site ZDNET and additionally mentioned that “There was no impact on Accenture’s operations or on our clients’ systems.

Cyble research team has mentioned that the lockbit ransomware gang had stolen 6tb of data and demanding $50million as a ransom. Hudson Rock has confirmed that atleast 2500 systems were compromised belonging to employees and customers.

Update 2: Lockbit 2.0 Ransomware gang has postponed to leak the companies data 20:43:00, Unfortunately the timeline(IST or any other) for the leak was not clearly provided.
